“ What a great venue and what a great value for money when you take the 12.95 euro menu del dia! So many starters/mains/deserts to choose from and all well presented and perfect taste. 6 fresh warm small rolls with tomato and aoli are from the house as an amuse. It might look like a tourist trap but hey it's a great location next to the castle and the food is excellent value. ”

There was a playground for young children and the restaurant had a covered terrace with lovely views. You are definitely close to nature and cats, cockerels and ducks wander freely. The meal did not disappoint and there was plenty of variety menu wise. The time between courses was a little slow but my friend assures me this was the first time this had happened in their many visits. I didnt mind as I was enjoying the company. The staff were friendly and even the rain failed to dampen our spirits. I would definitely pay a return visit. ”

Fried camembert, chicken wrapped in bacon with cheese sauce, massive pork knuckle, chicken milanesa, waffle with ice cream, tiramisu and the usual Irish coffee. The daily menu of 3 courses is only €12.90. Really friendly staff and service was spot on and never left us waiting even though it was very busy. ”
